Highway Construction Worker Injured in Crash on Rte 140

On October 10, 2012, a construction worker on Route 140 in Lakeville, Massachusetts was brought to the hospital for injuries stemming from a collision with a police cruiser. The police cruiser had been stopped on the highway near the construction site performing construction duty when another vehicle slammed into the cruiser, causing it to careen into the construction site and injure the worker. The man sustained serious leg injuries and was brought to the hospital in an ambulance. The police trooper and other driver both received treatment for minor injuries.

Being hurt on the job is not uncommon, even for workers in office environments. Injuries sustained during the course of your employment can seem unnecessarily complicated in light of the various rules and procedures in place. The insurance company will have their own attorney working to limit your recovery or disqualify your injuries from coverage. Dealing with that and being injured and unable to work can be incredibly stressful. Hiring an attorney could be the difference between giving up and being compensated for your injuries.

Our firm has experience dealing with workers compensation cases and know the ins and outs of the system.
