Motorcycle Accident Kills Father and his 8-Year-Old Son

Thomas Coffey, and his 8-year-old son, were driving along Riccuiti Drive when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a dump truck shortly before 5pm on Saturday, September 22nd. According to police reports, it was a near head-on collision when the motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the dump truck, as the truck was making a left-hand turn. Unfortunately both father and son later succumbed to their injuries at the hospitals they had been admitted to, in Quincy and in Boston. The driver of the dump truck, owned by M. Faherty Excavation Inc. did not sustain any injuries. As of the time of the report, no charges had been filed and Quincy police investigators were continuing their investigation to help determine the cause of the tragic accident.

Any motorcycle accident can be an extremely traumatic and emotional experience, but when you or a loved one has sustained catastrophic injuries, or a wrongful death has occurred as a result of the accident, it is even more devastating. Motorcycle accidents commonly cause serious, life-threatening injuries due to the fact that riders do not have the same safety precautions available to them. Often a helmet and a jacket, or the other clothes on their back are the only protection riders have. That is why, if you have sustained serious injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident I advise you consult with a skilled personal injury attorney at Flanagan & Associates as soon as possible. As the victim of a motorcycle accident, you have the right to collect monetary compensation for your injuries. My firm and I are here to help protect your rights and aggressively fight on your behalf.

Proving negligence in a motorcycle accident is not always easy though, and insurance companies will do their best to see that you get minimal compensation, if any. I have extensive experience representing clients in motorcycle accidents, and other personal injury cases, and am here to help you get the compensation you deserve.
